Has anyone used Polypropylene Base layers?
Looks like long johns to me but very thin.
Thought I'd ask sinch Fishermans have them on sale for $14.88 ea - about $5 off regular price. I've seen a few flyfishermen I know use them under their waders rather than over their pants.
Any comments on how warm they are?

i love it. it's all i use for fishing, hunting, snow camping, and being at the mountain. it keeps you dry when your sweating, and its warm for being so thin. it also dries really fast if you get it wet.

Yep yep. X 2. I have purchased Poly long johns (and shirts), for many years from Military Surplus outfits. They wick moisture away from you, keeping you warm n dry. They are light weight. They give you MUCH greater flexibility under your waders/overalls, etc. It's the only way to go IMHO.

P.S. I have also used polypro under my neoprene waders in ICE cold still water (i.e. glacier fed Carmen Reservoir). I was able to stay in my tube for about 2 hours, before needing to hop out and warm up.

Go get a couple pairs Steve they're worth it.

I picked some up at Costco a few years ago and love them. Since I spend about one quarter of my time outside at work, I have really been appreciating them lately!

Picked them up and saved $10 at Fishermans...
Funny though, I don't exactly look like the guy on the package when I put them on...

Don't they fit tight enough to pull all that in? jk:D

LOL! There's not much that can do that!
