Owyhee/Lost lake Fly Fishing adventure

Had a great day at the Owyhee, got into some browns early but the heat turned out to be two much so we drove to burns and slept. the next day we hit Lost Lake on the Santiam Pass and caught 30+ brook trout in a 3 hour period (No Joke) small but fun.

Owyhee: Ian's Brass Ass (Orvis fly) caught every brown on for the day.

Lost Lake: side 18 EH Caddis. Skate them across the holes and its an every cast event.

Great job on the little brown trout. I know the Owyhee can be really hot (temp wise) this time of year but go again at the end of September and the weather is not so hot and the fish will be twice that size.

It's a long drive from Portland isn't it!!!

Yeah we Have been going in early October for the past 3 yrs. it is so amazing that time of year!

I Love the Owyhee; love the area. I need to get back there myself soon.

Good numbers on Lost Lake, fun is what its all about.
