Looks like if your first name is Ernie you'll have the "best luck" getting a record fish about every 60 years or so.....!

Wow, the Kisutch is only at 25 pounds huh? That one will go down in shambles next year, if it was anything like last season! I hooked up a dozen or so in the creek that were well over 44" in length, and two were just over 46" long and 22, and 22 1/2 inches around respectively. I would conservatively estimate one of these fish to be in the mid 20's. If anyone has the formula to finger this out. Post it. Now I really want to know.

Steel...

Steel...

"Steelhead Trout 35 lbs 8 oz Columbia River Berdell Todd 1970"

Would like to have seen this.....OMFG that is what I would call a HOG

Chuck

I wonder what the dimensions of the record bullhead was? When I was a kid I caught a 19 incher in a pond in Eugene. I let it go so I could catch her again another day.

Some updates on your state record list:
Largemouth Bass, 12 lb,1.6 oz, 07/06/02 Ballenger Pond, Springfield, B. Adam Hastings

Smallmouth Bass - the correct weight is 8 lb 1.76 oz

Pumpkinseed Sunfish, 0 lb 7.68 oz, 07/10/96, Lake Oswego, Linda Mar

As a point of information, you may be interested in knowing about the foregoing Oregon State Warmwater Fish Records. In the early 1960s, at the request of the then Oregon Game Commission, now the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife (ODFW), the Oregon Bass and Panfish Club, Inc. (OBPC), became the official keeper of state records for all warmwater fish.

Is there such a thing as saltwater records for Oregon?

Is there such a thing as saltwater records for Oregon?
No, just warm water and cold water records.

I wonder why not?

Saltwater records are probably in the IGFA records.

The formula is (girth (length * girth)) / 800.

46 x 22 = 1012
1012 x 22 = 22264
22264 / 800 = 27.83#

And this concludes todays lesson.:lol:
