Found it on Craigslist, and thought it was 2-piece rod. But, when I went to pick it up--I quickly discovered that it's a 6-piece pack rod!
It's 6' 6" in total length. The blank is yellow, and hollow, fiberglass. The wraps are burgundy in color. It's a 3/4 weight; and is marked "Brush Creek 'Companion' by Lamiglas". FFT 663, is the model #. It is also marked "D 1".
At first, I thought it might be an old school "S-Glass" rod. But, I have 4 of those (fly, casting, and spinning), and those are all actually marked "S-Glass". Plus, those rod's blank are the see through honey brown color. This one, is not like that. The overall appearance, and reel seat, look much newer.
Can any of you, offer any insight? I'd really like to know, what type of hollow glass material it is. I'd also like to know at least an approximate, year of manufacture too if possible.
I'm also curious to know, what you believe a fair market value is for such a rod.
Anyone?
