Need some help, troutfishing around Eugene

Alright, I've been on four fishing trips in the past month, in two different states, and out of about 40 bites I've caught nothing but a four inch bullhead down by San Francisco. I'm fairly new and not exactly a fishing savant, but I need to catch a fish. I NEED to catch a fish, and preferably a trout, can someone help me out with a spot that I'm pretty much guaranteed to catch something around Eugene, because I can't take 3 hours of driving in a day only to have my bait stolen on every cast without so much as a "by your leave."

Can someone help a frustrated fisherman out?

have you tried the Mac??? suposedly they'e planting it this week, should be 100's of hungry trout waiting for bait or lures around the rock at Ben&Kay Doris boat landing just a few miles above Vida.
good luck and if you want free guide service let me know.

I was up at leaburg two weekends ago, shorecasting, and just got my bait stolen a dozen or so times. Any suggestions for shore spots other than leaburg?

what kind of bait? half a nightcrawler will stay on even after it gets torn up a bit.
Deerhorn road has some spots look for rocks and holes . the coverd bridge past Leaburg dam is good too. and like i said before Ben&Kay Doris rock is great if ya like to fish on a big rock...i have never been skunked at Doris rock. been goin there since 88.

Have you tried Alton Baker Canal/Park? I believe that it was stocked last week.

Ummm...welcome to the forum too!

Hills Creek Res

Hills Creek Res

I would recommend Hills Creek Res. I would drive to the back of the lake and fish off the bridge or on either side. Try a night crawler under a bobber, or a bottom rig set up with a small marshmallow and a tip of a night crawler. It is full of very nice Rainbows and Cutties. Hopefully this will put you into some fish... Here is a homemade map that might help....tight lines.
