I just caught my record hatchery fish on the Clack yesterday. A 35.5 bruiser! Largest hatchery fish I've ever caught. Twenty days too late...why can't I do that during ChromeDome? LOL

As a matter of fact, I did release it. My wife has become a snob and will only eat summers (and any springer I happen to catch accidentally at times). Since it was so big, would have probably been a waste since I have a winter fillet in the freezer. So, I figured set it free.

So the question is: How did troutmasta know to ask if the fish was possibly released?
Just in case there is one person who doesn't know this; look at the eyes, if they are pointing down like they are on this fish, it is still very much alive. If the eyes appear to be looking straight out it is not alive. I know... everyone know that.
Years ago STS and Flyfisherman's Magazine banned dead fish photos sent in by article writers, I think that may be how I found out.
