I caught this 18" guy on a 7" white frogtail. My first. I was stoked to see his bright blue coloration and orange dotting up close. Sent him back right after I got these pics

Yeah, I am not entering the lottery for a $1,000 fine or whatever for 2lbs of green lingcod meat lol.
Truth be told I'd rather keep that dude in an aquarium anyway.
I was happy to send him back. My understanding is that the green coloration is still not well understood. I take that to mean genetics probably are, or at the very least, may, be related. I want to see more of these guys not less.

Just catching up on OFF stuff and this is awesome. I am on a mission to catch my first ling as well and just got some jigs specifically made for them. Hoping to try them out possibly this weekend!
