My boys first trout!

My oldest got his first stocker trout today!....unfortunatley it was followed by a goose attack :lol: but he still had a blast! He then caught 2 more!

He is almost 3! He did however fall in the pond on sunday.....so no more fishing that day .

It was a very good day!
What area on the John day? I grew up just a few miles from the painted hills right next to the John Day....I may have some good spots to slay some samll mouth if you are in the area!

We spend a long weekend at the mouth, at LePage. I have an uncle with a large boat and he cruises the river each summer and a bunch of family gathers there. We spend a long weekend drinking beers, playing in the water and enjoying the nice weather.
