went out with 2 friends and we did decent. fished from 7-1 ish. I went 2-2(kinda, I'll explain in a secind) and both of my friends went 0-1. One of them had the fish to the bank before the hook popped :/ after I hooked my first fish, got it close to the bank and realized it was a native (i already have my 2 tagged for the year) so I did a quick handoff to one of my friends and netted my own fish for him. Was a really fun fight and lasted a long time for a Coho. second fish I hooked was also a native and was on the smaller side, so I sent that one back to nice another day.

nice one that I handed off to my friend:

pretty ho you got thier Brandon good job man

Oh the logistics of tag management. ;) Nice to see some coho action on such nice day. Although this weather may not be ideal for the tribs, it's sure great for bay and ocean fishing. Who knew you would need so much sun block in October!

Way to get it done Brandon. Pretty Ho for sure. I need more. Thinking about next week. Water looks perfect.

Dandy!!

Ha thanks. was nice to have a multiple fish day out there for once. It was really fun! Def had to put in work for both of them though. I'm climbing up the ranks and will be up to your level soon! Ha ha ;)

Has there been a decent coho bite early in the morning? I tried around high tide a couple times last week and nothing was happening...

Im jealous..rain..rain..rain??????

Are the coho starting to jump like popcorn down there yet? They seem to be running a little late! :D Thanks.

No not yet. I was hoping they would be by now... that video of you guys casting spinners for Coho down there is one of my favorite videos. was hoping for a day like that! Ha ha

Dang! Well they are running out of time. When they do come in its going to be crazy!

Bring on the rain.

That's perfect because I will be at Siltcoos the next weekend.

Really want to give it a shot and tag another ho or two.... Just gotta find someone with a boat....

Not sure how many coho you can keep on siltcoos but from what I understand you can only keep two wild coho total this year no matter what river system you are on. Siltcoos you may be allowed a few more than two a year but that includes the ones you already tagged.

5 is the maximum Coastal Wild Coho no matter how many locations you fish.

you can catch all your 5 in Silcoos if you want, assuming you have not tagged any others yet. But if you have already caught 2 in the central river group, then only 3 more in Silcoos are allowed.

you can catch more than 2 in the rivers if you fish in more of the river groups (there are 3 river groups).

Cheers, roger
