went out yesterday (sunday) with a couple buddies from about 9-4. between them two they had about 12 fish and i only had 1 bite. they had two spawning females, spewing eggs when we landed em. let them go. I decided to hit the lake this morning around 7. within 15 minutes i had one in the box. just hangin out and all the sudden my pole is about to be dragged into the water. bout 5 min later i landed this beauty (5.7lbs bull)and still had enough time to go to class. great day and they are in there! talked to the lady at the lake shop and she said she weighed in 4 fish over 7 pounds this weekend

NIIIICE FISH!!! Awesome to see they are in there and biting. Now I'm starting to get revved up for this weekend!

kalpin first of all, welcome to the forum, second WOW that fish came out of a lake?? Looks more like a native steelie to me!

Big pigs in there for sure.

Yeah there were some nice fish there for the opener. I caught a couple just under 4 lbs along with a dozen or so 9-12". Can't wait to get back out to that lake!
