Spent the weekend at the coast with the family. Went out 3 diff. times on saturday and couldn't buy a bite. So I decided to try something I've heard about. Night fishing off the jetty. Ha, let me tell you that was a non-stop kick in the pants!!! Used an old rapala sinking lure, put a small piece of hollow core 2' up the line just to keep is under as I was quite a bit higher on the rocks. Come dusk, just as the tide was about to fall, those babies started hammering the surface. Cast out, reel fast, pause twitch, let it fall...all methods caught fish. At least 25 fish for me alone. Kept 5 nice ones, along with some yummy clams I got today for meals. mmmmmmmm, love the coast.
Yeah, it was late, I had fun, and that's a goofy laugh at my wife...who lovingly volunteered to clean catch. She's the best, what can I say!!!
