Jetty or pier fishing near Coos Bay

I'm kind of a novice fisherman to this coast. I'm looking for somewhere near Coos Bay to drop a line. Is there anywhere close and is it worth it this time of year? I've caught a couple Greenling at the south jetty of the Coos river about a month ago.

several of the area beaches are good for perch

Perch and crabs can also be found around the docks at Charleston Harbor.

I've crabbed down there. What would you recommend as far as gear and bait for perch? Thank You.

In the bay, sand shrimp. Ocean, mole crabs or gulp sand worms.Top of the incoming tide is best

There are lots of little pull out spots along the Cape Arago Highway if you area ebl to climb down to them. Those have always been the best for me. We normally rig up a swirly tail jig, then tie 2 snell hooks up the mainline about 16" apart from each other that have sand shrimp on them.
