Dormisch Absi R2

If I could find one for sale, I would drop some serious coin to pair a badass rod to go with it...

thats a crazy reel,it looks light as hell though

people say it is the lightest reel they have ever held.. dont know if it is true or not.

it's cool looking but too futuristic for me.

that screw at the foot is gonna cause you grief... can see it already... you,ll be bumming a Ross off me by noon-

Yea i dont think i will ever find one for sale.. they didn't make more than a couple hundred

That screw is there to let you adjust the placement of the reel to help balance the rod perfect.

Holy carp!! Thats a sweet looking reel!!!

Looks a little 'Sci-Fi' or something off the Endeavor. I agree with Brad...don't like the screw.

Why did they quit making them?

Why did they quit making them?

It is either a Ferrari or an Yugo! There is a reason there are limited production of things like this reel. They are either really good and are limited in order to make them expensive and collectable or they are poorly engineered and fail at such a high rate that they have to quit making them because they are sooo bad.

But Da@$ that is one sexy reel! I would love to talk to someone who has used one.

From what I have read it such a small company and limited resources, they made these for 3 or 4 years and have moved on to a new completely different model/design.. all of their reels are limited batches mostly sold in the UK. There are a lot of "wanted" ads online for these things, but not any "for sale".

probably warrantys on that self adjusting screw finacialy destroyed them... lol

The outside rim drag system allows for the hollow core through the reel. Interesting. The review mentioned the drag not highly adjustable but on fly reels the drags are nearly redundant. With my Ross C3 I only use the first three clicks on it anyway. Maybe someone can now design a rod to go with it. Hey Brad...do you think Sage's 'The One' could be the match up? LOL!!!;)
