A friend of mine had some of those in his boat a few years back. I spent some time sitting on them and seem to have any problems.

Used them, they come with a clip thing that keeps it from popping off the bench seat. Never had a problem with mine.

I had those on my smokercraft. They sucked!!!

My bench seats were aluminum 'boxes', and the clamp wouldn't grab on very well, so they would fall off if you took a large wave. Once I almost fell overboard. I put a ratchet strap to keep it down, but I finally got rid of them.
