How fast do Salmom Travel ?

What would be good guess on how fast Salmon travel a day on average ?
Lets say from the Willamette Falls to Corvallis ?
Saw a post a while back and it said Steelhead could get to Eugene in 2 weeks from the falls ,sound right ?
If that is the case I better get my butt out and fish !!

I have heard that they can average around maybe 10-15 RIVER MILES a day give or take. Don't quote me on that though...

I have heard 10 miles a day, some one on ifish said they had a study done with some sort of gps but don't quote me as well. That seems like a long way to swim in a day. most of the time they are just out of my reach :lol: there was a big surge over the falls on the 25 of april, some said they would be here in ten days , I'm still waiting.

Just saw the forster dam fish count and they have some up there now , SO I would think theres a few going by Corvallis to
