Big Cliff is a beautiful spot with shoals off the bank and deep water. They do stock it, but it has a tremendous holdover rate and some trophy fish have been taken.

Did you decide not to go to the lake we discussed a few months back? I think you'd really enjoy it there and the mile hike is easy.

You could hit cripple creek lake and then from there if you wanted to, you could hike into the rock lakes basin and fish upper, lower, & middle rock lakes. You could also fish shell rock lake, serene lake, hideaway lake, and shining lake too, but they require a bit more of a hike if you are entering via cripple creek. Otherwise you could drive to the shellrock campground and stay there and fish the lake, no hiking really needed. Or hideaway lake too
All the lakes are accessible from cripple creek lake or from the shellrock lake parking lot. The hike from the cripple creek "parking lot" to cripple creek lake is just under 2 miles and it seems to be pretty easy hiking. I haven't hiked it yet but am really hoping to have an excuse to go hike it and fish it some time soon hehehe pray.
