Help above the falls need some info

Haven't posted in awhile great forum thou and info.I'm in of need help trying to find sturgeon fishing spots for c&r on the willamette river above the falls.my buddy really wants to catch one and been trying with no luck.not looking for your honey hole, just point me in a direction where I could find them.i lol hopefully can do the rest.we are pack in pack out no trace fishermen.Thanks for your time.
 
boy this thread seems pretty quite.Guess nobody wants to reveile the secrects on above the falls do they?
 
Yeah seems pretty right lipped on this one.i checked out the other threads on this subject.hopefully that helps.
 
I asked this question a while back and got a few replies. I fished out of Hebb park once this winter when the water was high and ripping, but did not catch anything there. If you really want some C&R sturgeon success I would recommend fishing below the falls (even though it would be a bit of a drive). Pretty much every deep hole (see http://www.charts.noaa.gov/OnLineViewer/18528.shtml) holds plenty of sturgeon. I think folks are generally more tight lipped above the falls because it is open for retention year and the population is not nearly as big. Best of luck!
