I need your HELP!!
I have Thursday & Friday this week to fish. I wanted to hit the McKenzie with my fly rod, but all this rain has me thinking the rivers will all be blown out. But I still want to FISH!
All the low snow leaves me wanting to avoid the mountains - even the coast range seems socked in. So here's my assets and my limitations:
ASSETS:
- fly gear
- spin gear (lures and bait)
- 13 foot boat with motor & oars (for motor-less lakes)
- enough clothing to brave cold, wet weather for a day
LIMITATIONS:
- Willamette Valley (well, at least no snow covered passes)
- within 2.5 hours of Portland
- Halfway decent shot at trout!
So, what would you do if you were in my shoes?
Thanks!!
