Yes/No. It is definitely not on fire and on the slower side of action, but people are still catching fish. There are still fish coming into the system and will continue to do so. However, compared to last years run so far I can say that it is much slower so far. I firmly believe this super weird weather is the main factor to blame! It's almost like summer hasn't even fully switched on yet in oregon...? I'm really starting to doubt that we will even get a true summer this year. I don't even think we have had one 90 degree day yet in our parts of oregon... This is like fall weather. were like 2 months behind. last year it was like 90 every day! At the same time, even though that's what I think that is what is affecting the fishing so much, I can sit here and make all the excuses in the world. Just gotta get out there and work extra hard for them. There are def fish in there though all throughout the system...

The weather has been really strange this summer. It has been cool and we even had a couple of nights of rain in the last week. Maybe our weather patterns are just changing and the fish haven't gotten used to it yet.

Yeah it has slowed down quite a bit. Lots of fish still working their way up tho. Just keep at it, and like brandon said you may have to work a little extra for them. they are definetly chasing spoons and spinners around if you like to switch it up and cast lures.

We got skunked two days last week. Once on the mac, and once on the willy. Pretty tough fishing.

Fished it from 7am to 4pm yesterday with narry a bite. A buddy picked up an 8" rainbow. That was it for the day. We were fishing flies - everything from egg patterns and nymphs to streamers and dries. Saw one other small cutthroat picked up on a spinner, and that was it for the day. It was a 4 hour round trip so a bit disappointing, but such is the life of a fisherman.

Meanwhile, I'm off to the northeast on the hunt for Stripers. I'll miss my Oregon rivers for a few days but am looking forward to the adventure. Stay tuned.
