Wed-Saturday the Ocean forecast looks great! So get on out there if you can. Nice warm weather, calm ocean and biting fish!

Up here (Cape Falcon north to Cape Shoalwater) things look good on thursday and Friday then things start down hill on Saturday 15-20 kt S wind 11' combined seas. A wee bit bumpy for a 30 mile hali run. That Central coast might be a better shot than out of the Columbia. Are you headed out for halibut on the opener? Good luck.

Yep, halibut opens May 8 down here though.

That explains a lot. I heard some folks talking about May 8th and thought they were just planning on waiting a week. I didn't think about the zones.
