Great day for perch

they were biting fast today within 15 seconds of casting. Just over 45-50yds off the beach about 2ft off the bottom with those sand/mole crab things.

Nice! Last time I went they were only biting the sand crabs,nothing else

Interesting, do you dig you own sand crabs? I have a scoop I made that worked well on SoCal beaches.
Soft shell sand crabs were always the preferred bait for surf perch when they were around.

Yea I show up like an hour or two before I want to start fishing and I just pick them up off the beach when waves bring them in

Gotta love those sand crabs! I've always wanted to try the Gulp! ones that they make. Has anyone tried them?
