So I found out about the locks in lafayette from this site a few weeks ago. Today I go down there for the 2nd time this week and get a 10-12" bass on my first cast. I was using a red spinnerbait. I am really looking forward to more trips not only to the locks but other areas around Mac as well.

Welcome and congrats! Gotta love the sharing tradition of this forum. :D

Welcome to OFF.

It's great to see someone who's posting about the Locks. I've been there a few times; but never with rod at my disposal.

BTW, the Locks are known to hold a lot more species than just bass. Supposedly, there are crappie, cutts (sea runs too, in the fall), fall nooks and more.

no sea runs, fluvial trout from the willamette (most willy tributaries have them) and theres coho in the fall but they shoot through the warm water pretty quick,

Brandon, 2 books that I have state that there is a small run of SRC's up the Yamhill. So, that's what I was going by.

I'll have to look up "fluvial". LOL
