Gave it a try at Alton Baker this morning.

Stayed until after 1 PM.
Got two bites for all the time there, only one of which I caught.
All I can say about it was that if that's the size stockers they are planting, I fail to see how they can be stocking legal size fish. Or if so, they are just barely legal. Not that it matters for me, as I release all I catch.
But I believe that was the smallest trout I've ever caught, and I've caught smolts out of the Willamette.

All along the canoe canal, the pond, and the river are fishable.
They normally stock the canoe canal in the area of the Day Island entrance every two weeks or there about.
