I drove from portland to Maupin on friday and destroyed it on the Deschutes. if you are planning on going there i must advise you bring a grip of size 18 black and white renegades. i caught 90% of my fish on that and 10% on a size 18 EH caddis

Nice advice! BTW, any river water below Pelton Dam is called the Lower Deschutes.

Hey no problem. If you don't know already the Upper Deschutes is the water above Bend to the head waters at Lave Lake and the middle Deschutes runs between Bend and Lake Billy Chinook. It's all my favorite.
