First winter trip 2014

Was able to get out for a couple days with friends, on a new river. Was taught a new fishing technique, bobber doggin', and I'm sold on it! Made life a lot more enjoyable, in the freezing temps, not having to constantly re-tie rigs, like I usually do when drift fishing. Looking forward to trying it out closer to home. Really had a great time. Lots of laughs, meeting fellow anglers, swapping stories, beautiful scenery and the fish were jut a bonus!

Wow that looks like a great experience! Glad you enjoyed it as much as possible.

Good times!

That river looks to be in prime shape. Washington?

Take care,

Very nice. Looks like it's time to dust off the steelhead gear.

Nice job!

Bobber doggin' is as old as a technique as any but is getting more popular by the season. It's flat out effective!

There's still nothing better than a side drift bite though :) just much easier to dog with clients ha.

Yes eugene1, Northern WA coast. Most our bobber doggin' fish caught/hooked were from the bank, tho we did also catch a few while traveling down river between holes. Ran divers and bait mostly while in the boat.
