First fish on a dry fly

Headed out to the Lower Deschutes this weekend and hit a big milestone... My first catch on a dry fly. The salmon fly hatch was on and all I can say is what.a.rush. It may not have been the 36" winter steelhead I picked up in January, but it was every bit as exhilarating. What a great state we live in, eh folks?

now this fall..... go back over the the Deschutes and talk a steelhead to smash one on the surface, I swear it stops your heart for a few seconds!
