I actually went out late in the afternoon, just planning on a bit of hike more then anything else, but whenever Im by the river so is my fishing rod! Decide to hit a spot I've stomped by before and I kid you not. At the end of my first cast, my bobber dipped. I set the hook instinctively and nothing happened, oh well. WRONG! My line decided to veer right, then left, then right again, but like it was a small smolt dragging it around. So I just decide to real it in quickly and found this little log hanging on to the jig. Then the fight began, I was by myself, knee deep in mud, and all of sudden she decide she didn't want to be caught anymore.
Well, the picture can tell you who won, and it was a poor camera phone shot. As I was exhausted from treading through mud, and attempting a "humane" landing. BTW, big thanks to all the OFFers who have given me great advice over the last year.
