What do our ratings mean?
POOR day basically means the fish will either steal all your bait or will not even touch your line.
FAIR day means that you may catch one or two fish but you will have to work hard to do so.
GOOD day means that you will catch enough fish to feel gratified.
BEST day means that you will catch something almost every time you cast your line in the water.

Their Best times listed, correspond with "Dot's Fishing Guide" (and Tide Tables). And, that has been a fairly reliable guide, for me, over the past few decades. I buy one every year.

I'll be putting it to the test October 7th through the 12th. Last camping & fishing trip with my friend that goes south for the winter at the end of this month. We are kind of watching the weather report to see which lakes we will hit. I don't care to get snowed in at the high lakes. LOL

My GPS also can tell me when to fish - but I've never seen it catch a fish. So frankly I don't trust it.
