There are a number of weather centers across the globe predicting the strong possibilty of a massive el nino this summer/winter. If it materializes we could be in for a treat. The last strong el nino brought tuna in close to shore and a number of pelagic species not usually seen here like mahi mahi, yellowtail, opah, and spinner dolphins. While this is great for tuna it can be good for salmon fisherman because the fish will be pushed to the beach looking for cooler water. I guess we will have to wait and see but my fingers are crossed.
