Darrell's first bass ever, hard to believe

:lol: One of my long time fishing partners took our mutual pal out Bass fishing for the first time on Thursday. This is what he got. Lake Berryessa. Probably ruined him for life. All future fishing will suck for him, because it is only going to get harder from there. Way to go Darrell! That is like hitting a hole in one your first day playing golf.

I am pretty sure they were using a Texas rig with the sinker pegged. The guy who took him likes sweet beaver or brush hogs rigged that way. I will ask him what they were using and gauge whether I get a straight answer.

I did get a partial answer. 7" inch plastic worm on a dropshot set up. Totally different from what I expected him to reply. I am not at liberty to disclose the color, but it probably doesn't matter much. The color that works in one lake today may never work in other lakes, and may not work on the same lake tomorrow. That is why my wife hates tackle stores. I come out with another new color to try everytime.
