CR bouy shakers

Made it out to the ocean today and fished SW of the CR Bouy (Coulumbia River whistle bouy). The ocean was great, no wind wave and small swells with lots of sunshine. The problem was the fish were all on the short side. With four rods out we must have brought at least 20+ shakers to the boat. Not one chinook over 24 inches. At least it was a nice day to be out there. I went down to check the boat out before settling down and saw a nice looking rainbow over the Skipanon River . It must be a sign that fishing will be fantastic tomorrow!

Looks like great condtions, catching is just a bonus! I'm sure it'll pick up soon.

Best,

I was out at the CR buoy yesterday too. We ended up with 3 keeper coho and 1 chinook pushing 30lbs. Lost some good fish and released some. The boys are back out there today and the report I'm getting is better than yesterday.

139.jpg 30 lbs chinook must have been a blast to catch out there in the ocean, and silvers to boot not bad. We hit the river today with no luck, fishing the Hammond Youns Bay water. Maybe it was better on the Washington side. If you see us out here gives us a shout. Hard to miss white boat with Irishrover on the side.

I'll keep an eye out for you. I'll be down there Friday fishing the river on the inside. I've been fishing out of a couple different boats but Friday, I'll be with my buddy who just got his guide license. He's been doing quite well on the chinook so far.
