not a normal day for some salmon fishermen down near the mouth of Coos Bay...

I saw that way cool reminds me of fishing off Malibu 25 years ago! When they where in and feeding on a glassy day I could hear 100s of them ripping their tails through the water slashing mackeral, it really was a crazy sound! The biggest I hooked was about 150 pounds and he spooled me!

from what I read they follow schools of baitfish, young tuna and such, apparently not normal for threshers to be found in Coos Bay.

I think they're following the mackerel into the bay...
