Columbia River fall nook

Got out ahead of the nets today. 36"-17lbs on the anchor, wrapped kwikfish. The bite came early with two in the boat. Third fish came in the afternoon and had two hits that didn't stick. Saw some fish caught but it wasn't hot. The other two were ~25" so I was the lucky one with the "big" fish of the day.

Nice looking nook and the water behind you looks great too. That orange and white spinner behind you worked well down river from where you are at.

Yeah, we were in some boily water which had us swinging a bit. Current was swift and we had to throw two anchors to keep from dragging. Pretty sure that spinner saw some action in Astoria!

Nice looking fish! What depth were you fishing? Seems they are getting shallower now.

It started at 18.6' but then shot up to 20.2' (having never moved the anchor). The water level was on the rise today but yeah, relatively shallow. The bite pretty much turned off when the river began to rise significantly.

nice fish

Sweeeeeet!!!!!!!!

Didn't realize it at the time but my buddy got a video clip of us putting my fish in the boat:
