Going to try my luck at digging some Razors in the am. Hoping they are easier to catch than Salmonids. I'll report back, supposed to be a banner year.

Cool...a report would be great!

Well we ended up at Sunset beach at right around low tide. Hard to leave earlier than 6 an with the family in tow. Aparrently that is too late as 4 adults ended up with 0 clams. Next time we will get there 2 hours b4 tide change like you're supposed to. Lots of people were leaving with clams when we arrived, and some were finding them when we were there, but I guess they knew what they were doing.

Well it was worth a shot! I bet ya had a good time though;)

Report for today

I left West Linn around 5:30 and got to the beach around 7:30, and went about .6 miles north of the Del Ray. I took someone new to clamming and had to find their "shows" for them, but I could have gotten my limit in around 45 minutes but let a friend dig quite a few that I found. I ended up getting my limit and my buddy wanted to quit after he got 10. It wasn't terrible, but I've experienced better clamming most of the time.
