Carp fishing in the winter?

I've only caught them in the warmer months and never target them during the winter before. Do they still bite during the dead of winter where it's cold like right now? I'm thinking of going to fern ridge dam --- below the spillway.

It's hard to find them but it's possible. This year was my first year catching a carp in december, I was fishing willamette river with a worm and caught a carp. But look for deeper warmer areas. and use smaller pieces of bait .

Carp can definitely be caught in the winter, However they're certainly harder too. Switch to single baits if you've been ground baiting at all as they don't feed as hard. Can certainly pick out a fish in the winter months though.
