Browns

Couple pics of some of my first browns out of Oregon. PMD, Griffith's gnat, small nymphs, and large white and yellow streamers worked for them. TFO pro III 7'6 3 wt and a beluah guide series ii 6wt were the rods I was using. Reels were lamson liquid and sage spectrum c. Broke my 6wt tho . 60-dollar repair sigh! First time fishing a very active hatch and a lot of sight fishing to rising fish.

Caught my first brown in oregon this weekend. I went in search of brook and browns to check them off my bucket list, but was not expecting this! Could barely get my hand on this fatty... Caught it on a sz16 beaded pheasant tail, 2wt euro rod.

I've never caught any Browns on the west side of the Cascades. My experience has been mostly rainbows over here. Lots of browns in the high lakes and on the East side.

No, there aren't any browns in Waverly. Only stocked rainbow's and some warmwater fish like bluegill's and bass and such.
