bottom fishing friday

im heading out to the rocks for some bottom fish on friday ill let ya know how it goes!

well i went....only got a couple greenlings, the bite was slow as could be

thanks bud.....come to find out everyone who was going out wasn't doing good at all! i found that i had better luck then everyone yesterday lol, i also went crabbing and got a crap load of red rocks, and i had caught a glimpse oof a bunch of baitfish so i got my ultra light and did some jigging and come to find out i caught a crap load of candle fish! so i got some nice fresh baitfish for the next time i go fishing woohoo

I Have never bottom fished the ocean are you just using those candlefish as bait?What about if i do not have those little guys what else you use? how much weight you using? it sounds badass i want to go sometime i have jigged a few times off the jetty but never caught anything though.
