So I am planning a trip to the rogue for springers. I use to fish below Rainey falls and on the upper river. Never tried using bobber set up...wondering if this would produce in these areas?

I'm sure it'll work just gotta find a spot away from all the flossers/snaggers.

Usually not too many dirt bags down below Rainey falls...at least not where I go...

I have tried bobber below rainy and had a good hit, just set the hook to early and missed the fish. I have caught several salmon bouncing eggs through there no reason why not to try it. I use to fish that a lot for fall fish. The problem I have with bait in that stretch of the river are all the squaw fish
Well, I hope I get to return there this year. It has been over 7 years since I fished it. I didn't really bobber fish back then, just drift fished. The more I think about it, the more I think it would work. Spawn sacs or tuna balls might prove effective. If the squaw fish get in the way there is always hardware to toss!!
