Me and a buddy went salmon fishing this morning and luck was on my side. Out of his boat firdt cast of the morning with bobber and eggs I got this nice little buck springer. We fished till 10 am and didn't touch any more fish and only seen one other hooked by boats which he landed and was little bigger then mine and seen couple hooked on bank. Pretty slow start for me on springers this year as this is only the second I have hooked so far lost the first due to ledges and the buddies with me have lost a couple due to other peoples line and popped hook.

Looks like its going to be a tough year. I went one of two on my only trip a few weeks ago but with the numbers we're seeing I won't be putting in too much time up there.

suck up. i aint jelous, only people who can't keep up with him are jelous. nice fish mike, im going to send you a pm with an umpqua update. im 2 for 3 on springers on native one hatchery and one lost. my dad just pulled in ill let you know what he has.

Yeah, I'm less than stoked about the fishing around here that's why I keep heading north come the weekends. I hate meat fisherys! Lol

I was wondering when i'd see a post with you holding a fish - they seemed to pop up every other day last year. Been a slow year for sure - good work!
