Bass near Albany

Hey OFF
I'm looking for some decent bass places in Albany that are accessible without boat preferrably. I've tried Simpson but that pond is ridiculous to fish. I haven't had any luck with bass in Freeway Lakes for almost a decade. I usually frequent Bowman park and I fish the calapooia right where the big rock comes out and makes a bend in the river. I can sometimes catch 1 smallmouth there but after that no dice. Does anyone have any other places to go/techniques to use? I'm thinking about Texas Rigging some tubes around Bowman this weekend.

I know its a bit late but I have to say freeway lakes is the only placce I've been that has decent bass. The one in my avatar photo came out of the third lake a month ago.

what do you use? I've targeted them with what seems like everything!

I've had the most luck on a Rapala Countdown lure from wal-mart. It costs about $8 and looks like a minnow. Blacck and silver. I've tried the floating one but didn't have as much luck. With the countdown I retrieved at a different depth on every cast. I usually hike back to the third lake and fish for six hours or so. From 4pm to about 10pm. Around 8pm is when they have been biting though.

This is the first time I've told anyone about my secret honey hole. LOTS of bass in this pond. I've never landed any bass there under 13 inches. The ticket here is spinners and buzzbaits. Chartreuse seems to work best. It's on private property and the farmer has been kind enough to not say anything to me or run me OFF. So, ya know... Don't ruin what I have going on. Pack it in, pack it out. All that basic stuff..

Sorry about the screen shot from my phone. It was the only way I knew to show you guys EXACTLY where it is..
