Went out for a couple hours after work today and right at about an hour into it, got one!
Another hot fish with lotsa fight...finally worked it in and another native (really liking my move to a tad heavier line! They still pull drag, but I've got that extra bit of control during their runs for those errors in judgment I might make here and there). I was still knee deep in the water, a few feet from shore and with no handy place for the rod, decided F the photo and just let him go. He and I both know what went down on the river and that's all that really matters
But, family...notably the wife, still wondering what I'm doing with all my time out there with little to show for it...gonna have to hit somewhere that already has some hatchery summers that I can bring home for proof. LOL
