Any store carries a furled leader?

Hello OFFs,

I'm a beginner in fly fishing using 10' 9wt for Steelhead fishing. I watched many casting video, but my presentation doesn't look good. When I cast, it looks dumping a streamer, and nymphing is terrible which tippet and leader are tangled.
So I'd like to ask

1. the furled leader will help my casting?
2. Is any store carried the furled leader around Portland area?
3. Is any place or pond to practice fly casting? or any way to practice? Grass doesn't help me for roll casting practice :-(

Thank you,
Seungweon.

the furled leader will not help poor casting and form... use a mono tapered leader and learn to control the drift in your casting form.. hold your tip higher as well on the delivery. you can practice casting at bethany ponds-

Take a short lesson Spark. They only cost about $60 and will correct the issues in your cast.

Like what was stated above.

I would only use furled leaders for dry fly fishing for trout, if I ever wanted to use one. Haven't ever felt the need or desire though. No equipment will makeup for mechanics.

Thank you for the information. I went Bethony pond, and didn't want to bother other work-out people so left early.
Well, as Van said, I need to take a lesson for casting. Anyone has contact for them? I'm looking at Craigslist but can't find one.

brian marz will get you casting right, just google his name

If you still want a furled leader - head over to River City and talk to Don. He had a few on the wall the last time I was in there. He's on Scholls Ferry Rd between Nimbus and Conestoga, same parking lot as Portland Running Company. He'll set you up - and he can also sign you up for a casting class.
