Was curious if anyone has fished for springers or summers yet in the leaburg/mckenzie area. They're up at the middle fork so figured they may be up in leaburg as well. Let me know thanks!

bran_man said:Springers are barely around.heard of a couple hooked.better chance at summers but those are still pretty few and far between too. Been pretty hit and miss for most out there lately....mostly miss. The regulars out there have been doing ok. but there are def steelies in there right now.just not full swing.Been getting pretty busy out there increasingly too.fishing is getting more popular each year. Don't want to sound negative or discouraging or anything like that, cause there are definitely fish in there, but chances are on the slimmer side
FishLife89 said:I have noticed that. Fishing is becoming more popular and the hot spots are just combat fishing. This season I am going to find my honey hole and hopefully it's a lesser known spot.

HootYeah said:The most common recommendation I hear for springers is to fish live shrimp and eggs 'sandwich' with a spin & glo, i know it's early but I'm eager heh. I'm good at putting steelhead in the boat but I want a fatty springer or 2 this year.

It's getting frustrating being shoulder to shoulder with snaggers. I have a couple spots, but people have caught on. Any help would be much appreciated. The mac or the willamette. Thanks guys!!!

joem said:your couple spots are probably 20 other peoples spots but its just early so they aint out yet. there will be people every where learn to love it, or get a boat or fish one spot ebough where everyone likes you then you show up at anytime and get a prime spot because people know you or know that you can catch fish so they want to watch.
