Annoyed

Im annoyed that most of the casting reels i want are ONLY RIGHT HANDED :mad::mad: guess its my bad for learning to use a left handed one and not being able to switch, even though i tried.. well that's all my rant stupid reel companies

I hear ya loud n' clear bro. I'm right handed. But, my gramps gave me my first rod n' reel--and it was a lefty. So, that's how I learned too.

However, there are lefty reels out there. If I'm not mistaken...I think any Abu Garcia (Ambassadeur) reel with a "C" in the model #...indicates a lefty. Those are good solid reels.

Good luck in your quest.

i know there's quiet a few lefty reels out there, but it seems like all the ones i REALLY LIKE or the older discontinued ones that are amazing, the only ones i can find are righty

I think that Abu Garcia uses a one (1) in the last # of their model numbers to indicate L/H reels , IE; 5600 C3 is R/H & 5601 C3 is L/H. Just my 2 cents worth. :-)

i dont like abu's that much, but who knows, might get desperate

so far i've only used diawa reels and don't have any complaints. looking to spend 2-300 hundred on the next one so my search continues! im glad that left handed models don't cost more lol

You might want to check Bi-Mart. They carry Daiwa and Abu, and as long as they carry the brand you want they can usually order any model at no extra cost. It would be worth a try.

There is always a currado , took CPs advise on that one and have never looked back solid reels. Think they are down to 139 bones too . think they are not gonna make them any more , gonna try to get a couple more myself before they dissappear . 201E7 is the lefty model #. Just checked the ware house they have the 200 g models for 159 the 201g6 and 201g7 are the left hand only diff is gear ratio.

was thinking about a Lew's Tournament Pro Speed Spool Casting Reel at the moment... colby keeps pitching me the currados lol

I'm with ya. i just bought two righties 'cuz i couldn't find what I wanted. The only time I had used right handed reels was on the columbia catching oversized sturgeon. Talk about awkward. These that i bought did well tho on the fall chinook we caught on the Elk. My boys found it a little wierd at first but they did ok.

Oh wait Shimano makes lefties....

Oh wait Shimano also makes all you need.....

Oh wait things just got much easier!

LOL

Curado 201E7
