A tale of 2 days!

Saturday....low and clear! The North river running around 2,700 cfs, 2 steelhead and 3 trout....1 of the tout was a solid 17" rainbow though!

Sunday...friday's rain caught up with the the river and the flows jumped from 2,700 cfs to over 4,000 cfs overnight. Low and clear one day, good flows with off colored water the next! Sunday started off slow but once the sun peeked through the fog....it was on! :clap: I rowed....the kid fished! We did plug fish for a bit before the fog burned off and I did have a steelhead hooked for a bit....other than that it was all Daniel, 4 for 7 today! One of the fish that got away was a hog....I don't think it ever knew it was hooked!

Nice! it lookes like this rain helped pick up the bite a little bit. It was slow for me on the siuslaw with 2 steelies lost and 3 sea runs landed. bite picked up around 10pm when the sun broke throught the fog.

We passed you and the boy on Sunday....figured that section between the drops would be holding some fish....I really need to learn that drift a little better....pocket fishing is great if you know they are coming before you pass them.....

What boat were you in?

How did you guys do? We didn't fish too fast early....had a feeling there would be an afternoon bite!

We were in the Diamond Back with the kicker well...We were off the river by 3. We hooked a few but none made it to the boat. When we passed you, you were motoring back up to the top in between two small drops....looked like a nice little flat that you were working. I will make sure to flail my arms next time to get your attention....you were on a mission....

I was on a Mission!!!....we went 3 for 4 in that flat in about 45 minutes! I was pretty focused right about then!

I remember seeing you guys come downriver, at first I thought you guys didn't have a motor but my son saw the kicker well. We had just released our 3rd fish in that flat when you guys came downriver.
