I've come a long way since I first started fishing... which was when I was only 4 years old.. I started seriously fishing in the summer of 5th grade, and ever since then I've been slowly growing my knowledge.
Lets take a look back onto where I have been.

Here it is, this day is what got me hooked on fishing for carp. A beautiful mirror carp from Blue Lake I caught two years ago.

You see him in many of my pictures, Who is he? This is Jake Erdmann. Also known as "Salmon Stalker". My best friend, and has been since 5th grade. Me and him have been everywhere together. Its not a proper trip unless it includes Jake. His favorite species to target include Bass and Carp.

Ahhh,, Salish ponds... The many events that have occurred there. I live just across the street from my house. So I was a frequent member of the club!

Here is Jake again, this time, with a sturgeon. He didn't belive me that he could catch a sturgeon on a salmon rod... well I proved him wrong. While we were camping in august we hooked this baby up! :) He had a great time fighting it.

BOOM! 18" smallmouth bass! This is why he loves smallmouth fishing! He will never forget how he casted, hooked and landed that fish!

There's me with the smallies I caught on the columbia!

This is what kept me and him coming back for more. The sheer beauty of nature and its many gorgeous sights. The feeling of being alone, yet surrounded by life. The stress free feeling of sitting by your rod. Thats why I go.

My experience with carp grew greater as I started catching them in rivers.

Sturgeon weren't always my favorite fish, they still aren't, but I do like catching them. :)

The concept of fly fishing came to me around 7th grade. When I got my first fly reel. I put it on a spinning rod and caught many fish! Soon later I upgraded to a real flyrod that Bohemian kindly gave me! (thanks man!)

The trout at bluelake were plentiful, and of all people, Jake, Brady and I were the only ones who caught that many! :)

Not too soon later did I start investing more money into gear. My friend got this new lamiglas XMG50 that we both share.

The flyrod that got me started on fly casting. :)

Sometimes, size just dosen't matter....

My most recent goal is trying to get new people into fishing! Here is Aidan Shoman with a nice trout from salish! By passing on the sport, I think I'm helping others understand on why we should preserve nature, keep our streams, lakes and rivers clean, and be wise and disciplined in life.
