I was thinking about getting a new flyrod/reel for 150 or under any suggestions.thanks

what weight?

8# weight

I bought an Okuma Crisium 2 pc,9' 8wt at bi-mart for about 60 bucks, nice stout rod that I can leave in the car as a backup.Casts nice for small to medium waters.Okuma also makes a bulletproof fly reel that doesn't make a lot of noise for about 35-45 bucks(I got mine at bi-mart,but dont know if they still carry em.)Spend the money and get some quality line,go to a flyshop and tell em what type of fishing that you plan to do,they will happily hook u up.I prefer airflo lines. Two rivers Fly shop in Albany has some nice combos on sale right now,Mitch(the owner) will do you right!

X 2. I've known Mitch for about 30 years (or more). He started out at Anderson's Sporting Goods; in the fishing department there. He's a great guy!

I have a 8wt under the sell section of the forum if you are interested.
