8 hp honda fuel problem

'09 honda kicker not starting... fuel pump seems to be working I took off line to carb and it pumps fine when turning over. plugs are sparking great but there not ever wet ( no fuel ) like the fuels not getting to plugs. ???? Please Help !!

Hi Bts! After you have said, try checking the internal secondary filter also back out the needle jet to the carb, letting the restriction pass after a few pulls on the rope. Count how many turns you back out for reference. GL Tony

You might check the float in your carb, my friend had the same issue with his 8 hp and turned out to be his float was cracked... my two cents..

My 5 HP Honda died on the far side of Paulina 2 years ago and I rowed 2 miles against the wind and later found that the kill switch stuck! My arms looked like Popeye when I got back!

9.9 Honda on my Uncles boat wouldn't run smooth off idle. Brother-inlaw watched youtube video on repairing carburetors, runs like a champ with only cleaning internal parts/passages.
