3 hours before work = 3 fish

Had to work at noon today so me and my friend went out before that for a few hours. Man my friend definitely had the hot rod today. He went 2 for 5 and I just went 1 for 1. I spent most of my morning snagging up and losing my gear and re- tying ha ha. Super frustrating! It was almost every cast with me. Just one of those days for me. Saw 6 others caught but I was outta there by 10am so I could make it to work on time. Pretty decent morning I guess

Geez...how do you do it? I hit the river for 3 hours yesterday morning and 3 hours this morning...nothing. Fish neither seen nor felt.

Nice job.

You know there is a way to fish up there that does not include re-rigging every five minutes? To hard to resist the temptation to do what everyone else is doing? ;) Good job on hooking up bran_man we will be out there on Tuesday.

Ha ha yeah I got sick of it pretty quick. I went to my favorite, float fishing for a while but no such luck. But as I was getting ready to start packing up my stuff to leave I saw a couple rolling in the tailout so I put on a spinner (one that I actually found snagged in the river that i found earlier this morning) and I knew one of them would eventually take it... I definitely prefer float fishing though over everything. I just don't really have anything to use for it right now except for some jigs... I need to tie up some yarnballs maybe. Well I'm sure ill see you out there Tuesday then....

Summers do love spinners but that can get expensive. Floats and jigs, yarnies, pink woms and beads work well in a few of the holes and flats.
