2nd cast steel, 2nd notch on the pin

The Sandy hasn't been kind to me lately so I hit a coastal river that has been on my "hit list" for some time. Glad I did because on my second cast, I caught this steel. Also happens to be my official 2nd steelhead on my centerpin. I really enjoyed exploring some new-to-me water and met some OFF'rs on my outing as well.

I finally broke it in for the first time, well sorta, with Steelhead Slayer on the Metolius just recently. No fish but really enjoyed swinging the fly rod. I'm planning to swing for summer steelhead and trout (if I keep saying it, then hopefully I'll JUST DO IT). Would be nice to fish for summers on the fly with someone that knows what they're doing. My son wants to fly fish for trout so I think that's the tipping point for me now.

Alright, I'll take you up on that. And you'll need a break with a little one on your hands! At minimum, I know I'll be back at E.C. this summer but not sure how the timing works with the summer run there. Also, let me know if you can get away for some Spingers over there.
